gran's loose change is an online treasure trove of vintage and second hand clothing, shoes and accessories as well as stockists of new and fresh designers such as d-luxe jewellery. v.marketing designed the look and feel of the website as well as the online shopping capabilities. The beauty of gran's loose change is that the site is fully self-editable for the client and can be updated and refreshed easily and efficiently.

v. manages the PR for gran's loose change and have also developed a social media marketing plan for the site. Facebook, Twitter and gransloosechange.blogspot.com have contributed significantly to the traffic referred to the site. After three weeks, gran's loose change had seen 29,000 page views - a phenomenal feat for a new, unadvertised, online store. There has been over 2000 unique visitors and a third of the site sold out in the first 24 hours.

In the lead up to the go-live date, v.marketing researched the target market (18-35 year olds) and found social media to be the best avenue to keep its customers informed, excited and to interact with them. The facebook page has over 600 fans, in less than a month, and gran's loose change has featured on Fashion Quarterly's twitter, Slynkey.com, Fashion Guru blogspot, NZgirl.co.nz and Sideroom.com to name a few. Links on sites Fix Up Look Sharp and That's Nice Dear blog also direct traffic to the site.

It is testament to the fact that social media works for this age group and has contributed to the hard work and successes of the client.
